Fiberglass Batts Insulation
Fiberglass batts insulation, (also called rollout insulation or roll insulation) is constructed of extremely fine glass fibers mixed with plastic. Fiberglass insulation has been widely used since Owens Corning developed the product in the 1930s. The material has a long history and is still employed in construction today.
Today’s manufacturers produce medium and high-density fiberglass batt insulation products with a slightly higher R-Value than previous versions. It is generally placed in unfinished floors, walls, and ceilings between studs, joists, and beams. Fiberglass batts insulation is considered one of the more cost-effective solutions for limiting the spread of cold and heat by trapping pockets of air in walls, floors, and attics, keeping rooms cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer.

Mineral Wool Batts Insulation
Mineral wool insulation, also known as stone wool insulation, is created by spinning liquefied rock and minerals with steel slag to create a spun wool product. The mineral wool is then pressed into rolls and sheets. Visually similar to fiberglass batts, mineral wool it is applied in the same manner and areas of construction. However, this product can be either flexible or rigid, offering a wider scale of energy-efficient solutions to better match your energy efficiency needs.
